CBD - scientifically termed cannabidiol - is just one of hundreds of different active compounds that is found in hemp. The average plant does contain a considerable amount of it - it's the second most abundant compound found in the plant. The average hemp plant contains around 10% CBD.

Hemp seed oil can be cold pressed from the hemp plant and its seeds. The names are interchangeable. Hemp oil can also be referred to as CBD oil; however, there is more than just CBD in our hemp oils, as they also contain other cannabinoids like CBG, CBC, CBDa. There are many "Hemp Oil" products on the market made from hemp seeds only. Oil from hemp seeds contains almost no CBD.

Aside from a number of our CBD Isolate based E-liquids, nearly all Dr Watson products are made with a refined broad spectrum distillate, this contains a number of cannabinoids such as CBD, CBG, CBC, terpenes & flavonoids. It is generally considered amongst industry experts that a combination of cannabinoids creates a much more effective product. When you’re shopping for CBD online, Dr Watson wants to give you a product you can feel confident in.

CBD Isolate - This is when a product is made using CBD that is Isolated from all other compounds in hemp, this is the only cannabinoid that is in the product. Our strong CBD Eliquids are made using CBD Isolate combined with natural flavours and hemp terpenes. Typically these products do not have the hemp flavour but are more fruity and sweeter. 

Broad Spectrum CBD - This is when the product is made with more of a whole plant extract. There are multiple compounds in the extract used in the product, this gives a slightly more hempy flavour, it is said that products that are broad spectrum are generally more effective as cannabinoids work in conjunction together and create something called the "entourage effect". Dr Watson CBD Gummies & CBD Oils, are made using broad spectrum distillate.

Full Spectrum CBD - This is when extract includes all forms of cannabinoids. There has been little or no effort to remove any hemp compound. A lot of brands label their product full spectrum without knowing the difference, in the UK if a product is full spectrum it should contain a full array of plant extract.

This is a term you will see across our website in relation to what’s in our products: The google definition is any of a large group of volatile unsaturated hydrocarbons found in the essential oils of plants, especially conifers and citrus trees. 

To break it down, terpenes are compounds found in fruits flowers plants and herbs that contribute to the unique aroma, taste and profile of the plants. Most Dr Watson products contain hemp and plant terpenes which is thought to contribute to the efficacy of the product.

Yes, as mentioned in the previous question, all of our products contain only legal extracts <1mg per entire product. In the UK, CBD products can be purchased legally by people over the age of 18 from health stores, online, or pharmacies.

In the Dr Watson CBD oil range, we have a 1000mg, 2000mg, 3000mg & 4000mg. While a lot of companies offer a 500mg option, we believe that 500mg strength is not strong enough to really have an effect on you, even people that are new to CBD. We offer a 1000mg for the same rate most companies offer a 500mg, giving you greater value.

The main ingredients in our oil is Medium Chain Tricglyceride (MCT - coconut) oil,  Broad spectrum hemp, (CBD, CBG, CBC, terpenes & flavonoids, as well as a different supporting ingredients like Co-Enzyme Q10, Gamma-Amino butyric acid, Chamomile, Ginger & Eucalyptus essential oils to name a few. We support our CBD oils you buy online with additional ingredients for a greater effect.

All of our Hemp Extracts, whether it is CBD Isolate, Broad or full spectrum CBD Distillate, or crude raw extracts come from our accredited partener facilities in Switzerlands, Colorado & North Carolina.

Yes, all of our organically grown extracts come from industrial farms in the US & Switzerland. 

This is entirely subjective, the most popular method of consumption is via CBD oral tincture drops, followed by CBD vape. There are CBD gummies or sweets available for those that prefer something sweeter, while capsules are available to take with water to avoid any flavour at all. But there are numerous other methods that are particular to what your desired effect of taking CBD is. Some people use lotions and muscle rub’s for post workouts.

That entirely depends on the country you are visiting. I would definitely search online before travelling. Most EU member countries it is okay, when travelling further afield such as the US I would avoid travelling with it
